• Migration Strategy: Participate actively in high-level discussions regarding migration strategies, wave planning, and cutover processes.
• Hands-On Development: Lead by example with hands-on ETL/ELT development, performance tuning, and complex data modeling within Snowflake.
• Standardization: Define, document, and implement development standards for the new platform, covering coding best practices, deployment pipelines (CI/CD), documentation protocols, and testing frameworks.
• Release Management: Oversee release management cycles, including preparation for weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) discussions and ensuring smooth deployment to production.
• FinOps Management: Establish and monitor Snowflake FinOps practices, ensuring cost-efficiency and resource optimization from day one. Phase 2: Leadership & Maintenance (The Run)
