Reporting into the UK-based Associate Director of Technical and working closely with our UK-based Product Design, Technical and After-Sales teams, you will play a critical role in both bringing new products to market and driving continual improvement of existing products. From concept through to mass production and throughout a product’s life, you will provide technical expertise and leadership to ensure products are well-engineered, safety compliant, reliable, durable, and manufactured to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for the Product Compliance Specialist based in China. This is a highly visible role requiring strong collaboration with our manufacturing partners across China. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen factory processes and manufacturing standards, and help reduce product issues and after-sales costs through proactive engineering and management. Based in either mainland China or Hong Kong, the role requires willingness and ability to undertake frequent travel throughout mainland China and potentially overseas, including weekly multi-day trips to manufacturing sites and partner factories across China (Current Provinces: Anhui, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong). It is an exciting opportunity for an experienced product assurance leader to make a significant impact within a well-established international brand.

· Leading the engineering and product compliance functions, providing technical direction throughout new product development, mass production and existing product improvement.
· Working closely with UK-based Design and Product teams to translate product requirements into successful manufacturing outcomes.
· Assessing manufacturing partners and driving robust, repeatable processes that consistently meet Silver Cross quality, safety, performance and compliance standards.
· Acting as the principal contact for technical and compliance matters, coordinating clear communication, timely escalation and effective resolution.
· Overseeing product, component and production-sample validation and approval, making timely technical decisions to maintain development timelines.
· Investigating product concerns, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and driving continuous improvement in quality, reliability, durability, customer outcomes and after-sales costs.
· Developing and embedding effective operational procedures across engineering and compliance activities.
· Providing technical support and guidance to UK-based product designers and cross-functional stakeholders.
· Supporting cost management through engineering decisions that reduce manufacturing inefficiency, product issues and after-sales costs without compromising safety or quality. What We are Looking For We are looking for a commercially minded and experienced product assurance leader who combines strong engineering, compliance and quality expertise with a practical, hands-on approach. You'll be confident working across product development, compliance, and manufacturing, with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and factory partners alike. Equally comfortable operating strategically and in the detail, you'll be a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced international manufacturing environment and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality products to market. Essential Experience
· Significant hands-on involvement in product engineering, compliance, manufacturing and regulatory compliance of consumer products.
