We advise on a wide range of transactions: mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, project & corporate finance, divestments & disposals, corporate & debt restructuring, trade finance, and government contracts. Since our formation in 2000, we have executed over 200 mandates and completed transactions with a total value of over US$23bn across over 60 countries. The Role: Following sustained growth across the Asia Pacific region, the Hong Kong office is seeking to hire an additional analyst. The successful candidate will work with the Directors in Hong Kong and alongside CF&Co’s global teams. Responsibilities include:
• Supporting the execution of M&A and financing mandates to the highest standard of quality
• Preparing marketing materials, managing due diligence processes, conducting data analysis, building financial models and drafting transaction documentation
• Performing valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables and precedent transactions
• Providing analytical and research support to the Directors, and producing presentations, proposals and pitchbooks of a consistently high standard
• Liaising with clients, counterparties and third-party advisors on transaction-related matters
• Monitoring market developments and keeping the team informed on a timely basis
• Travelling to mainland China and overseas as required, in support of roadshows, meetings, due diligence, and commercial negotiation
Qualifications:
• At least two years' experience in investment banking; direct M&A experience preferred, with exposure to the metals and mining sector an advantage
• Master’s Degree from well-recognized universities in finance or a related discipline; a strong academic record is preferred
• Solid command of corporate finance, valuation methodologies and accounting
• Fluency in English and Chinese Mandarin
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter, strong determination to succeed and a competent learner
• Commitment to the highest professional standards within a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Attention to detail, together with the resilience and composure to perform under sustained pressure
• Strong time management, with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage competing deadlines
