Location:
Brussels, Belgium Compensation
• B2B Contract: €400-€460/day
• Permanent Employment (Belgium): €53,000-€61,500 gross annual salary Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.
• Build and enhance backend services using Java/JEE technologies and enterprise frameworks.
• Develop, secure, and document REST and SOAP APIs.
• Design and implement responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.
• Create and maintain database structures, queries, and business logic.
• Develop and integrate enterprise applications using modern integration frameworks.
• Ensure application security, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, and code reviews.
• Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, UX designers, and development teams across the full software lifecycle.
• Deploy and manage applications using CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native technologies.
• Contribute to Agile delivery processes, backlog refinement, and sprint activities.
• Support the implementation of authentication, authorization, and security best practices. Required Skills
• 8+ years of Java/JEE development experience.
• Strong expertise with Spring Boot, Hibernate, EJB, and WebLogic.
• 8+ years of experience designing and developing REST/SOAP APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Experience with Apache Camel and Drools (or similar Rule Engines).
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XSLT, Angular, React, or Vue.
• Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL, including PL/SQL or PL/pgSQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Maven, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, Nexus, and Git.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, SonarQube, and Fortify.
• Strong understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and secure development practices.
