To support Evonet's next phase of growth, and we're looking for a hands-on, adaptable Payment Operations professional to help manage our relationships with card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay, etc.), support scheme compliance and violation resolution, and drive data-informed operational reporting. This is a broad, high-visibility role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, still-evolving environment and wants to grow into a more senior operations leadership position.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary operational point of contact for card scheme matters (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay, etc.) — mandate tracking, reporting submissions, escalations, and rule-change monitoring Work closely and proactively with the Partnership team on operational aspects of PSP and local payment method relationships (e.g. wallets, APMs), ensuring operations requirements are represented in partner discussions Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to investigate, document, and resolve scheme violation cases, chargebacks, and dispute escalations within required timelines Prepare and submit periodic operational/compliance reports to card schemes; monitor scheme bulletins across all supported networks for operational impact Pull, analyze, and present data from internal platforms/data warehouse to support decision-making — transaction trends, decline reasons, scheme fee impact, dispute and fraud metrics Maintain and improve SOPs and audit-readiness documentation across all supported card schemes and payment methods Support ad hoc projects across onboarding, product launches, and process automation as the operations function scope grows Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in payment operations, card scheme management, or a related fintech/banking operations role Working knowledge of scheme rules and chargeback/dispute processes is a strong plus (not mandatory — willingness to learn on the job is key) Comfortable with SQL or data querying tools for basic reporting and analytics; strong Excel proficiency required Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese/Mandarin for internal and external stakeholder management Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, evolving processes, and wearing multiple hats in a lean team Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow into broader operational leadership responsibilities
