As an Originator in our Debt Markets EMEA team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering tailored debt solutions to corporate and private equity clients across Europe. Based in Brussels, you will focus on Investment Grade (IG) Finance, originating and executing Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and Loan Capital Markets transactions, while building long-term client relationships and driving business growth. AND IN DETAIL About The Team The Debt Markets EMEA team operates within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), specialising in holistic capital structure advice and debt financing solutions. Our team is organised into focused areas, including:
• Investment Grade (IG) Finance: Covering IG DCM and Loan Capital Markets (with dedicated originators for domestic markets like Belgium, France, and Italy).
• Leveraged Finance: Including origination, sponsor coordination, and sector-specific teams (e.g., Media & Telecom).
• Transversal Support: Credit/ESG Ratings Advisory, Portfolio Management, ESG Financing, and Structuring & Execution. Your Role As An Originator In IG Finance, You Will
• Drive business development: Proactively identify and secure new DCM and Loan Capital Markets opportunities, leveraging your network and market insights to expand BNP Paribas’ client base.
• Lead transactions end-to-end: From origination to execution, you will structure and negotiate corporate facilities, bonds, and event-driven financing, ensuring seamless delivery while managing key stakeholder relationships.
• Strengthen client relationships: Act as a trusted advisor to corporate and private equity clients, providing strategic financing advice, market updates, and post-transaction support.
• Collaborate across borders: Work closely with colleagues in other geographies, sectors, and business lines to maximise cross-selling opportunities and revenue growth.
• Mentor and develop talent: Support junior team members by reviewing their work, delegating tasks effectively, and fostering a culture of excellence. • Deep expertise in Debt Markets: A strong background in IG Finance, DCM, and Loan Capital Markets, with hands-on experience in structuring, executing, and originating transactions.
• Credit and analytical

Proficiency in credit analysis, corporate debt financing, and rating methodologies, with the ability to assess complex financial scenarios.
• Commercial acumen: A track record of winning new business, negotiating terms, and building lasting client relationships in a competitive market.

• Fluent English (essential for client interactions and technical discussions).
• Fluent Dutch (required for local client engagement).
