🚀 We're Hiring: Applied R&D & Product Development Lead – Malta

Salary:
€50,000–€65,000 gross Help Us Build the Next Generation of Deep-Tech Solutions iQrypto is a European deep-tech company working in semiconductors, advanced electronic systems, secure computing and emerging technologies. We are expanding our activities in Malta and looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial engineering professional to help turn advanced research into practical technologies, prototypes and product opportunities. You will work directly with our CEO and collaborate closely with our established R&D team in Belgium. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys technical challenges, takes ownership and wants to play a meaningful role in growing an international technology business. 🔹

What You'll Do
• Applied R&D & Product Development: Lead selected technical projects, prototypes, system integration and technology demonstrators.
• Engineering Project Ownership: Translate technical objectives into clear development plans, coordinate contributors and deliver results.
• International R&D Collaboration: Work with our Belgian specialists in electronics, semiconductor design, embedded systems and software.
• Technical Customer Engagement: Participate in discussions with industrial partners, support technical proposals and help identify practical applications for our technologies.
• Building Our Malta Capabilities: Contribute to establishing effective engineering practices, local technical partnerships and development resources as the operation grows. 🔹 What We're Looking For We're looking for someone with strong technical foundations, practical engineering experience and the confidence to work independently. You should bring a degree in electrical engineering, electronics, microelectronics, computer engineering or a related field, together with relevant experience in industrial R&D, engineering project delivery or technical product development. You should be comfortable working across disciplines, coordinating technical contributions, making practical decisions and taking responsibility for delivering results. Experience in semiconductors, IC design, embedded systems, instrumentation or technical customer engagement would be an advantage. We value initiative, problem-solving ability and ownership more than impressive job titles. 🔹

What We Offer
€50,000–€65,000 gross annual base salary, depending on experience and capabilities. Direct collaboration with the CEO, genuine autonomy in technical project execution and access to an experienced multidisciplinary engineering team in Belgium. The opportunity to contribute to the early development of iQrypto Systems Malta, with increasing responsibilities as the organisation grows. Potential long-term leadership progression, equity participation or performance-related incentives may be considered, subject to performance, business development and separate agreements. 📩
