Neurho is looking for a Data Engineer who applies DevOps practices to BI. You turn standards and business needs into clear data requirements, and you make sure that data stays reliable, traceable and reproducible from source to report. What you will do
- With the Product Owner and the functional analysts, turn information needs, security rules and GDPR into data requirements and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Define each data element and KPI once (data dictionary, semantic layer), so that a KPI is calculated the same way everywhere.
- Build, automate and monitor data quality rules, and follow each anomaly until it is solved.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes and a reliable publishing layer for SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI and Apache Superset.
- Set up CI/CD for data pipelines, models and reports: Git, code reviews, automated tests, controlled releases and monitoring of batch loads.
- Prepare well-documented, secure datasets for future AI use. What it takes
- At least 5 years in data engineering, data warehousing or BI, with at least 2 years in a development team that works with CI/CD.
- Expert SQL and data modelling: Kimball or Data Vault, slowly changing dimensions, incremental loads.
- Hands-on SAS, Python, PostgreSQL and Azure Data Factory; some Azure Synapse and Apache Superset.
- Proven experience in setting up and monitoring data quality controls.
- Git, branching, code reviews and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or GitLab CI); test automation such as dbt tests.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in ICT, or equivalent experience.
- Dutch or French, an understanding of the other national language, and working English.
- A plus: SAS 9.4 (Base SAS, Enterprise Guide, DI Studio), dbt, Docker; DAMA CDMP or a cloud data engineer certification; experience in a regulated or public-sector environment.

What we offer

- A permanent contract with Neurho.
- Freelancers are welcome too.
- Start: mid-December 2026, on site in Anderlecht.
