Company Description
Oxyde Chemicals Europe distributes and trades bulk chemicals across Europe and worldwide from our office in Antwerp. We're part of the Oxyde group, a family-owned network of companies around the world, headquartered in Houston and active for over a century. Our European team of about 15 people in several countries is small enough that everyone's work is visible, and big enough that our parcels move by vessel, barge, isotank and tank trucks across continents. Our motto is Passion, Performance, Partnership, and we mean it.
Role Description
As Supply Chain Coordinator, you're the link between our product managers, suppliers, tank terminals, logistics providers, and customers. You make sure every order moves from supplier pickup to customer delivery on time, compliantly, and cost-efficiently. You won't just execute shipments. We expect you to question how we move product and find better ways to do it.
What you'll do
- Manage the full flow of sales and purchase orders, from supplier pickup through storage to delivery to customers worldwide.
- Follow up incoming vessels, containers, and isotanks, and instruct terminals, warehouses and logistics partners.
- Keep stock positions accurate across terminals and warehouses, and reconcile them with terminal reports.
- Arrange truck, rail and container transport, and issue the related documentation (CMR, BoL, COAs, Invoices, loading and customs instructions)
- Evaluate and negotiate with carriers, terminals and freight vendors on rates, routes and consolidation options to improve cost and service.
- Resolve exceptions such as delays, reroutes, document issues and quality complaints, and keep everyone informed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of our processes. Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field. Recent graduates are welcome. Experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or chemical distribution is a plus, not a requirement.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, customs or dangerous goods (ADR/IMDG), and the drive to learn the rest quickly.
- Fluent Dutch and English. French or German is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data. ERP experience is a plus.
- Calm under pressure, organized, and someone who takes ownership. Why Oxyde *Real scope
