About the role
Our client in Limburg is looking for a Client Accountant to support a portfolio of self-employed Dutch-speaking clients on a freelance basis. The role is focused on building strong client relationships while providing hands-on accounting support, making it well suited to someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with a customer-focused approach. Main responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of self-employed clients
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Act as a trusted point of contact for accounting-related queries
- Provide accounting and financial support to Dutch-speaking clients
- Prepare accurate financial reporting, including year-end closing activities
- Support clients with day-to-day accounting requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve client service and internal processes
- Work closely with stakeholders and clients across multiple engagements
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of service Requirements
- Experience managing relationships with clients or customers
- Previous accounting experience, ideally within a client-facing environment
- Experience preparing year-end closing activities and financial reporting
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts
- Proactive and customer-focused mindset
- Dutch language skills are required This role would suit an accountant who enjoys working closely with clients and building long-term relationships while delivering a high level of accounting support.
