We're looking for an experienced barista to join our waterfront team at Pier 88. If you take pride in crafting quality coffee and thrive in a fast-paced, social environment, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll be running our coffee station and delivering consistent, high-quality espresso drinks, but you'll also be jumping in wherever needed — taking orders, running food and drinks, clearing tables, and keeping the floor ticking over. It's a hands-on role in a fast-paced waterfront venue, and we need someone who's happy to jump between tasks and work as part of the team.
What we're looking for \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
- Experience as a barista in a high volume café or restaurant
- Strong technical skills on commercial espresso machines and grinders
- Ability to dial in, maintain consistency, and troubleshoot on the fly
- Genuine passion for coffee and hospitality
- Excellent customer service skills you can read a room, handle complaints with grace, and turn a negative experience into a positive one
- Confident communicating with guests and proactive about fixing mistakes before they escalate
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and public holidays
