As Chief Officer on board our Jack-up vessels, you are in charge of the navigation team in a 12 hour watch under supervision of the Captain. Serving as the Captain’s right-hand person and acting as his or her substitute in their absence. You are responsible for safe and efficient Jacking operations and deck management.
Your responsibilities
- You co-ordinate the daily deck operations
- You supervise the deck crew
- You are in charge of Jacking operations
- You implement the DEME safety procedures and VMS
- You organize emergency drills
- You analyze incidents and follow up on audits
- You are responsible for navigation and the voyage planning
- You keep the ship’s log and the records up to date
- You are responsible for ballast operations and waste management
- You assist with mobilizations and repairs
Your profile
- You hold a valid STCW II/2 Chief Mate license
- You have proven Jacking experience
- You have strong leadership skills
- You are proficient in English
- You are willing to work in offshore rotations Our offer
