Job description
As an All-round IT Engineer, you will be the main point of contact for our IT environment. You will be responsible for the management, maintenance and optimisation of our systems and will work closely with external IT partners on the back-end infrastructure. Profile Your responsibilities Hardware & User Support You will install and configure all client hardware (laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones and printers) and ensure that every employee can work efficiently. Daily support You will assist colleagues with their IT queries and provide quick and clear solutions within a Windows environment. Network management (local) You will map out the network and manage the configuration at switch level. You will adjust VLANs and configure ports to ensure stable and high-performance connectivity, in collaboration with external partners. Projects & optimisation You’ll take the lead on IT projects, identify areas for improvement and implement optimisations that enhance our operations. Logistics & administration You will manage the IT stock and ensure that materials and components are ordered in good time. On-site support You will also support colleagues in Wallonia and regularly visit our branch in Dinant. Hands-on infrastructure You’ll be rolling up your sleeves to carry out hands-on IT work, such as installing and terminating network cables, alongside our technical team. You have a relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience You communicate clearly and explain technical matters in simple terms You have knowledge of user, access and network management You have experience with hardware (PCs, laptops, smartphones, tablets) You speak Dutch fluently and have a good knowledge of French You are hands-on, solution-oriented and take the initiative You have a flexible attitude (not a strict 9-to-5 mindset) Job-related Competences Management and maintenance of information systems Keeping systems up to date in line with technological developments Analysing faults and determining corrective actions Providing user support (on-site and remotely) Carrying out technical diagnostics and implementing solutions Drawing up procedures for IT management Carrying out routine maintenance on IT equipment Personal competences
