Our client’s Exploratory Lab is looking for a passionate
R&D Engineer
to support the development of next-generation thin film devices. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to advanced research projects in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution and follow-up of process runs under the supervision of project leaders or senior scientists.
- Propose and implement process improvements to optimize results.
- Perform deposition of thin films from both solution and vacuum processes, using techniques such as spin-coating, physical vapor deposition (PVD), chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and atomic layer deposition (ALD).
- Conduct physical, optical, and morphological characterization of deposited layers and fabricated devices.
- Document findings and progress through consistent, rigorous reporting.
Location:
Leuven, Belgium Required Skills and Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with thin film processing and characterization methods (optical, microscopic, and morphological).
- Team-oriented, with strong organizational skills to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a laboratory setting with strict adherence to safety and housekeeping protocols.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken) due to the international work environment.
