Please include a short motivation letter and your CV. We will contact you during the first two weeks of September. CONTEXT Teach for Belgium is looking for a Communications Officer to join our team on a permanent, half-time basis. This role is central to how Teach for Belgium tells its story: to participants and alumni (teachers), schools, students, donors, partners, and the wider public. Teach for Belgium’s vision is that “one day, all children will have the same opportunities to succeed, regardless of their socio-economic background”. Our ambition is to improve pupils’ learning outcomes and independence in schools with a high share of children from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. To achieve this, our mission is:
- To mobilise, recruit, select, train and support committed individuals who wish to teach in Belgian schools serving the most socio-economically vulnerable children.
- To draw on its network of alumni and educational partners within schools to drive and support changes that benefit pupils.
- To act as a guiding partner for the headteachers and teaching staff at partner schools, supporting them in strengthening their institutions. With a team of around twenty colleagues, we work to fulfil this mission and support more than 350 participants and alumni, who reach more than 25,000 children every school year. Communication is a key lever to support Teach for Belgium’s mission. We are looking for someone who can help shape our communications strategy, manage our social media channels, keep our website up to date and provide general communication support across the organization.

You will work closely with the fundraising team, the programme teams, and our participants (teachers). You will need to be comfortable moving between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
