Political Intelligence Brussels is seeking an experienced Public Affairs consultant with a passion for EU environmental and water policy to join our team on a fixed-term contract (24 months) . You will be a trusted advisor to one of our clients, a global technology company , working at the intersection of water stewardship and digitalisation across Europe. Your role will involve providing hands-on support to the client's water policy work, with a primary focus on the EU and secondary support for activity across the wider Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region. Working closely with senior colleagues, you'll be the connective point between the client's Business, Legal, and Public Policy teams, helping shape clear, well-evidenced positions on water. At Political Intelligence Brussels, you'll join a key player at EU level with over 25 years of experience and a client portfolio made up of industry leaders, working at the heart of fast-moving policy debates. responsibilities:

- Monitor and summarise developments in EU and national water policy,
- Draft clear briefings, and support developing position papers, and responses to public consultations, translating technical topics into plain policy language.
- Coordinate input across internal business teams
- Support engagement with EU and international institutions as well as national governments.
- Support meetings and help organise events with trade associations, water utilities, and policymakers. What we're looking for:
- 2 to 4 years' experience in EU public policy, regulatory affairs, environmental or water policy, or a similar coordination role.
- Familiarity with Digital & European water policy
- Strong writing skills – you can turn complex information into clear, concise briefings.
- A collaborative style, comfortable coordinating input from several teams at once.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as environmental science, policy, law, economics,).
- Exposure to standards bodies (CEN, ISO) or international fora and organisations (World Economic Forum, United Nations) is an asset.
- Fluent in English, additional European languages are a plus.
