The Product Manager is part of a multidisciplinary team and works in short, iterative cycles. Because client is a federal institution, the
stakeholders are both Dutch-speaking and French-speaking.
Main Responsibilities
- Translating complex organizational issues into clear product requirements and concrete roadmaps.
- Managing and prioritizing the product backlog in close collaboration with business and development teams.
- Identifying AI opportunities within the organization and translating them into feasible, impactful initiatives.
- Actively transferring AI knowledge to internal teams and stakeholders in an accessible and practical manner.
- Monitoring user needs throughout the entire product lifecycle, based on qualitative and quantitative research.
- Managing a diverse stakeholder field with varying interests, at both operational and strategic levels.
- Monitoring product quality and assisting in validating deliverables.
- Following up on product performance in production and initiating improvements based on data and user feedback. Skills
- Working from a clear product strategy, with an eye for both the big picture and the execution details.
- Formulating hypotheses, testing them quickly, and adjusting based on what works — iterative thinking is part of the way of working.
- Bringing stakeholders along in change without imposing it: patiently, diplomatically, and persuasively.
- Communicating clearly on technical and strategic topics, including to non-technical profiles.
- Making independent decisions and taking responsibility, even in complex or uncertain situations.
- Working autonomously as well as functioning strongly in a team.
- Customer-oriented and empathetic, with a keen eye for the end user.
