In the context of its growing activities abroad, BESIX Power is looking for a new Corporate and Project Finance Manager directly reporting to the BESIX Power Director.
This is a senior, highly hands-on role for a commercially minded finance professional and an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team active in renewable energy sector.
As Corporate and Project Finance expert, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the M&A strategy, supporting the BESIX Power strategic growth through the evaluation and execution of investments, acquisitions, strategic partnerships and other corporate development initiatives In parallel, you will support the team with project coordination and performance tracking (KPIs), ensuring alignment with executive stakeholders and strategic goals.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including development, engineering, finance, tax, legal and operations, and senior management, while collaborating with external advisors, lenders, investors and counterparties to deliver strategic projects and transactions.
- Buy-side M&A transaction: Together with the Director, leading financial appraisal, due diligence, and structuring of BESS and PV transactions, that align with BESIX Power mid-to-long-term strategy.
- Modelling: Build and stress-test investment models (revenue, degradation, volatility, constraints) and translate outputs into clear investment recommendations and strategic decision making to the Director.
- Negotiation: Together with Senior Legal evaluate, negotiate, and optimize key project contracts (PPA, tolling, EPC, O&M/LTSA) through a risk-return lens to protect capital and increase value.
- Project Financing: Ensure projects meet international project finance bankability requirements and optimize cost of capital through robust structuring – in charge of document negotiation with equity and debt providers.
- Strategy: Contribute to portfolio strategy by assessing future risks and opportunities (e.g., grid connection models, longer duration assets, alternative technologies, new jurisdictions).
- Monitoring: Monitor execution and early operational performance, validating investment assumptions and driving feedback loops into future decisions (ie. monitoring actual portfolio performance against budgets and forecasts, preparing performance reports including key financial and business metrics).
- Invoices & Budget: Oversees (and be responsible for) cost control, invoice tracking, annual budgeting and financial reporting for BESIX Power.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in investment banking, other forms of M&A advisory, project finance, valuation, ideally with exposure and/or strong interest for renewable energy and energy transition
- Strong financial modelling skills and an understanding of project and corporate finance
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to manage work under pressure in a collaborative environment
- Commercial, outward looking, and focusing on adding value
- Strong critical thinking and willingness to challenge assumptions constructively across the team (technical, development, commercial)
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across internal and external stakeholders
- Fluency in English. Any other language is a plus
