Job description
Our client, a leading European electricity transmission system operator, is looking for a Senior UX Researcher to join its Portals & Platform product line. You will bring the user perspective into the design and evolution of its customer portal, its developer and API platform, and its internal back-office platform. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic, hands-on researcher who turns user insights into clear and seamless journeys for energy-market stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
oUser Research: Lead UX research activities with the right methods (interviews, on-site observations, user tests, surveys, literature) and document findings in the Research repository.
o Workshops & Co-design: Prepare and facilitate framing, ideation and co-design workshops with business, IT and end-users, as well as user tests and focus groups.
o Data & Behavior Analysis: Analyze user behavior and website performance with Matomo and heatmaps, and evaluate interaction models against measurable criteria.
o Personas & User Journeys: Build personas and experience maps, identify business processes and use cases, and define or improve user journeys.
o Interaction Design: Create wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows and site maps in Figma, and work with the UI Designer to stay consistent with the design system.
o Platform Experience: Shape the customer portal, the unified API and Open Data experience, and the internal back-office flows (users, companies and permissions).
o Stakeholder Communication: Present concepts and design solutions to stakeholders, and contribute to UX Chapter feedback and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements
Requirements:
o Master’s degree or certification in UX
o 7+ years of experience in design thinking within agile projects
o 7+ years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research
o 3+ years of experience in interaction design and information architecture
o Proficient in Figma, Miro, PowerPoint, Matomo and heatmaps Experience with Figma design systems is a plus, Condens is a big plus
o Proven ability to facilitate workshops with large stakeholder groups
o Pragmatic, autonomous and resilient, with natural empathy for users
o Non-EU candidates: valid Belgian work and residence permits required
