The expansion of the Engineering Department, with strong focus on the Project Delivery capabilities, means we are looking for an on-site Proprietary Assembly & Integration Manager.

This role involves rotation across various European locations depending on project requirements.

  • Can you lead and supervise the on-site assembly and integration of industrial machinery in a safe, structured and efficient way?

  • Can you read and work from installation drawings, layouts and interface documents, and resolve site issues together with engineering teams?

  • Can you manage contractors, suppliers, lifting activities and multidisciplinary teams across complex industrial installation projects?

  • Can you commit to a 3-weeks-on/1-week-off rotation across various European locations, including irregular hours when required?

As Proprietary Assembly & Integration Manager, you’ll be responsible for the planning, preparation, on-site supervision and execution of the installation and integration of proprietary machinery and equipment designed by Knauf Insulation’s internal engineering teams. The role also provides input to, or jointly develops, assembly plans with Engineering and equipment suppliers and ensures that assigned personnel, contractors and installation activities comply with approved engineering documents, site-specific safety rules, environmental protection measures and applicable local regulations. Responsibility extends from mobilization and installation preparation through mechanical, electrical and instrumentation alignment & completion, work safety and handover to the commissioning team.

The role involves a 3-weeks-on/1-week-off rotation, with work across various European locations depending on project requirements, including irregular hours and challenging site conditions when needed.


What you’ll be doing:

Site installation and supervision

  • Plan and supervise the complete on-site assembly and installation of proprietary machinery and equipment.

  • Lead and coordinate installation activities with construction management, contractors, internal engineering teams and other disciplines. And depending on project size and complexity, also lead a team of assembly supervisors.

  • Organize work fronts, manpower, tools, lifting equipment, access, permits and installation materials.

  • Ensure that machinery is assembled in accordance with approved drawings, installation instructions, specifications, safety requirements and environmental protection measures.

  • Monitor construction and installation progress against the approved programme, identify constraints and initiate preventive or corrective actions to achieve project targets, with the support of the Site Manager or Project Manager.

  • Ensure safe installation and stop or escalate unsafe or non-compliant work.

Machinery integration, interface management, quality control and completion

  • Manage interfaces between proprietary machinery, utilities, process equipment, structures and other disciplines.
