Relocation to the United States — Norfolk, Virginia. We provide the NATO-5 visa.

A multinational defence organisation runs its day-to-day capability development work on SharePoint and the Power Platform. This role administers it, builds on it, and keeps it working — hands on, not through a team.

What you would be doing

  • Administering, configuring and improving SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, content types, metadata, views, permissions and navigation.
  • Designing information structures that make content findable and access controlled.
  • Building and maintaining Power Apps applications that replace manual forms and spreadsheet-based collection.
  • Building Power Automate flows for approvals, notifications, routing, task coordination and data synchronisation.
  • Combining SharePoint, Lists, Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse into integrated solutions.
  • Configuring forms, business rules, validation, workflow states and role-based access.
  • Integrating with approved data sources and enterprise applications through connectors and interfaces.
  • Supporting digitisation across approved environments, including classified ones.
  • Troubleshooting to root cause and fixing within your delegated authority.
  • Running user testing and improving on the basis of it.
  • Documenting configurations, application logic, data structures, permissions and dependencies.

What you would bring

  • A university degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, business information technology or engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Recent end-to-end delivery of Microsoft 365 or Power Platform solutions you built and deployed personally.
  • At least twelve months inside the last twenty-four doing that hands on.
  • At least two of the last five years in SharePoint administration and information architecture, with hands-on work inside the last two.
  • Demonstrated work on permissions and access controls, plus information architecture or content-type and metadata design.
  • At least one example inside the last two years of a SharePoint environment you were responsible for.
  • Fluent professional English.
  • Note: experience limited to directing, supervising or overseeing development done by others does not meet this requirement.

This is a long engagement that renews year on year, not a short project.
