Job description
We are looking for a Business Analyst – Cards & Payments to join the Payments team of a leading financial institution in Brussels.
📍 Location: Brussels, Belgium
💼 Experience: 6+ years
🗣️ Languages: English mandatory; French strong; Dutch is a plus
The mission

Analyze business needs, issues and change requests related to Cards & Payments.

Contribute to product and service improvements across Cards, Payments, Instant Payments, Wero, Apple Pay and other payment solutions.

Translate business needs into clear requirements, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.

Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, Product Owners, IT squads, architects and Operations.

Organize and lead business and technical workshops with stakeholders.
-
Define business scope, processes, target operating models and business/IT interfaces.
-
Follow initiatives from business analysis through solution design, implementation and go-live.

Coordinate and support Business Acceptance Testing (BAT).

Challenge assumptions and assess different solution options to ensure optimal business outcomes.

Contribute to strategic payment initiatives and process improvements.
Requirements
-
6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Cards, Payments or Financial Services.

Strong knowledge of Cards and/or Payments products, processes and services.
-
Good understanding of the Belgian Cards & Payments ecosystem, players and market trends.
-
Experience translating complex business requirements into IT solutions.
-
Knowledge of Cards-related technologies and architectures is a strong advantage.

Experience with Instant Payments, Wero, Apple Pay or other payment methods is a strong plus.

Experience working in an Agile environment and with Product Owners / IT squads.

Experience in project management or Product Ownership is a plus.

Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with business and technical stakeholders at all levels.

Autonomous, structured, pragmatic and detail-oriented.

Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and facilitation skills.

English: Fluent – mandatory
-
French: Strong level – mandatory/strongly preferred

Dutch: A plus
