Location: Brussels, Belgium
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 6 Months

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to support transversal IT initiatives and lead the definition and delivery of end-to-end architecture solutions across complex IT environments.
You will work closely with Requirement Owners, Domain Architects, IT engineers, and application authorities to ensure solutions meet functional, non-functional, security, resilience, and enterprise architecture requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and realization of end-to-end architecture solutions from inception through deployment.
- Act as the link between Enterprise Architecture, IT engineering teams, and application authorities.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and domain target architectures.
- Lead and contribute to large-scale IT transformation initiatives.
- Develop and promote reusable solution patterns and architecture building blocks.
- Contribute to domain target architectures and technology roadmaps.
- Provide pragmatic architectural recommendations for complex, cross-functional challenges.
- Support both high-level architecture activities and detailed technical implementation challenges.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvements in IT software delivery and engineering practices.
Required Experience & Skills
- 15+ years of experience in the IT industry.
- Strong experience as a Lead Solution Architect on large-scale transformation projects.
- Experience designing and deploying critical transactional systems within large and complex organizations.
- Strong IBM Mainframe experience.
- Experience with Java and/or Windows .NET development stacks.
- Good knowledge of Azure Cloud, APIs, integration mechanisms, and data technologies.
- Experience with Linux and Java development environments.
- Strong understanding of architectural analysis and solution design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work across multiple systems, functions, locations, and organizations.
- Ability to translate complex technical challenges into practical and actionable solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Nice to Have
- Financial Services industry experience.
- Knowledge of financial-sector regulatory environments.
- Experience with private cloud technologies and Azure.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and Kafka.
- Experience contributing to reference architectures and positioning papers.
