We are a major player in the utilities sector in Belgium, operating a complex HR landscape that supports approximately 10,000 employees across multiple legal entities (company codes) and joint committees. Our SAP HR system supports mainly Master Data, Time Management, and Payroll functionalities.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP HR Developer/Consultant with a strong specialization in SAP HCM Payroll to join our IT team full-time. You will support and enhance payroll solutions while contributing to or advising on integrations between SAP HCM Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.

You will be responsible for resolving system bugs, implementing change requests, ensuring timely updates to comply with legal changes, and participating in both small and large projects to enhance the system and its functionalities. In you role, you will work together with both local and offshore colleagues. You align with the HRIS / payroll team as well as the other SAP teams (FI/CO, MM/SD,…).

Objectifs et livrables

Key Responsibilities

• System Configuration & Maintenance: Configure and maintain SAP HR modules, with a clear focus on Payroll, Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Time Management (TM).

• Issue Resolution: Identify, analyze, and resolve system bugs to ensure uninterrupted operations.

• Change Implementation: Manage and implement change requests to meet evolving business and HR needs.

• Legal Compliance: Ensure system updates align with the latest legal requirements and industry regulations.

• Project Participation: Contribute to small and large projects, including system upgrades and cross-functional initiatives.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Key Requirements

• Proven expertise in SAP HR/HCM Payroll, including configuration, development, troubleshooting, and support.

• Strong understanding of payroll processes, wage types, schemas, rules, and payroll-related integrations.

• Experience with SAP HR master data management and time-related processes is beneficial.

• Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into effective SAP HR payroll solutions.

• Experience working in complex enterprise environments and collaborating with functional and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and its integration with SAP HCM Payroll.

• Experience with Employee Central Payroll integration scenarios, data replication, middleware/integration tools, and payroll synchronization processes.

• Familiarity with hybrid SAP landscapes involving both on-premise SAP HCM and cloud-based SuccessFactors solutions.

• Experience with SAP CPI/BTP integration scenarios related to HR systems.

Language & Soft Skills

• Fluent English is mandatory.

• Dutch or French (one of the two) is required, with good understanding of the other language (Dutch ↔ French).

• Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders across Belgium and international teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Proactive mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
