In the Portable Air Division, it is our mission to accelerate the transition towards a greener future by delivering the most sustainable solutions for every tough application (construction, offshore, drilling...).
In this innovative environment, we currently have an exciting vacancy for a senior designer within our engineering department. Excited to join? You will be part of a dynamic team developing our future product range of mobile compressors.

Your main

responsibilities:

Preparation and creation of full (pre) feasibilityDevelop a design planning together with the project engineer, and work towards the agreed deadlinesWork out the complete design for new products in line with the master specification of the projectOptimize designs so they are functional, high quality, cost-effective and reliableConsult with others (suppliers, production, SQA, purchasing, service,…) to improve designsPlan and coordinate design work if several designers are working on your project(s)Collaborate with Gecia: set targets, deadlines and follow upPrepare and release bills of materials and drawingsFollow-up prototypes: build-up and processing feedback on the designCheck designs (3D & 2D)Collaborate with the senior designers from other teams to improve the design processContribute to our knowledge database by adding your experience and lessons-learnedTrain and advise new designersAre we a good fit?

You have extensive knowledge of 3D design & 2D annotations of industrial products using CAD systems.
You have a good knowledge of English, Outlook, Word, Excel.
Knowledge and experience in Creo and/or InventorProject Management experiences is a plusYou have a bachelor's or master's degree in (electro)mechanical engineering or equivalent experienceYou have the analytical skills to develop different solutions and evaluate their pros & cons

Job location
