We are looking for a talented Product Owner to join our dynamic team and take ownership of the company People components with different other components in the TVH ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring it aligns with business goals. You will work closely with HR stakeholders, business process owners, functional analysts, implementation partners, external vendors, and other key stakeholders to deliver high-quality people solutions that drive operational excellence and support business growth.
Your role and responsibilities
Product Vision and Strategy:
Partner with the business owner to define and communicate the product vision, goals, and objectives for our HR capabilities and integrations.
Create the mission board, containing the priority projects, status, deadlines and metrics in collaboration with the business stakeholders in order to have a clear product roadmap and ensure transparent reporting towards the squad and the business stakeholders.
Develop and refine the product strategy based on customer needs, business goals, and industry best practices.
Product Roadmap and Release Planning:
Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes to be included in the product roadmap.
Expertise in strategic vendor management, contract negotiation, SLA governance, and cross-functional partnership development to ensure continuous service excellence.
Define the product roadmap, taking into account internal requirements, technical feasibility and business priorities (business value prioritization).
Plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
Gather the always-on system metrics to monitor uptime and ensure continuous availability (‘always on KPI’).
Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
Act as the primary point of contact for all HR related initiatives, providing guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the development process, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing.
Ensure that the requirements are well-defined, actionable, and align with the overall product vision.
Support and oversee the development of functional specifications, documentation and acceptance criteria in order to deliver a user story that meets the definition of ready and can be used by the development team/external vendor.
Agile Development and Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Testers, Functional Analysts, Developers to ensure successful implementation of the different projects
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the Functional Analyst team, providing clarifications and resolving any product-related issues.
Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint reviews, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Empowering and Supporting the Team:
Continue to foster a supportive and collaborative work environment that values the contributions of each team member.
Empower the development team/vendor by providing clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Act as a servant leader, removing obstacles and facilitating effective communication and collaboration among team members.
Encourage professional growth and skill development within the team by providing mentorship, training opportunities, and constructive feedback.
Play a pivotal role in our team, with functional analysts in direct reports, providing leadership and coaching to foster their professional growth and enhance overall team performance
How to succeed / your profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in the HR domain.
Strong understanding of product management principles and practices, as well as experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.
Familiarity with product management tools and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
Knowledge of our key tools, Workday & UKG is a plus
Willingness to travel as needed (10%)
