Job description
Context
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Tech Lead to join a Warehouse Management Team within the automotive industry, in the context of a key replacement assignment.
You will be part of a global and international team, working alongside experienced Data Engineers, Tech Leads, and Data Architects. The role combines strong hands-on data engineering expertise with a technical leadership dimension, contributing to the design, development, and continuous improvement of modern data solutions in an international and collaborative environment.
Missions
- Design, build, and improve modern data solutions using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and SQL
- Develop and maintain data solutions based on batch and streaming technologies
- Develop and manage workflows and data processing
- Work with Unity Catalog
- Contribute to data modeling and transformation rules in collaboration with relevant technical and data stakeholders
- Take part in development, IT testing, UAT, and deployment activities
- Collaborate closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers, and other Tech Leads
- Contribute to technical discussions, challenge existing approaches, and proactively propose solutions and improvements
- Share knowledge and work closely with Tech Leads across Belgium and India
Requirements
- Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer, with a hands-on approach
- Solid experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark and SQL
- Experience with batch and streaming technologies, workflows and Unity Catalog
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative, propose solutions and contribute to technical decisions
- Comfortable working in an international team
