Job description
For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer Azure to support the development, optimization, and evolution of a modern cloud-based data platform.
Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Develop and optimize end-to-end data pipelines to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting initiatives.

Manage and enhance cloud-based data platforms using Azure native services.
-
Implement data integration, transformation, and orchestration processes across multiple data sources.
-
Ensure data quality, security, governance, and compliance within the Azure ecosystem.
-
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Monitor platform performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and automation.

Contribute to architecture decisions and best practices for data engineering and cloud technologies.

Support DevOps processes, CI/CD implementations, and infrastructure automation.

Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the data team.
Required Skills & Experience
-
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer in Azure environments.

Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure SQL Database, and Synapse Analytics.

Hands-on experience designing and maintaining modern cloud data platforms.

Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL.

Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data warehousing concepts.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies.

Knowledge of data governance, security, and performance optimization best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
