Job description

For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer Azure to support the development, optimization, and evolution of a modern cloud-based data platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data solutions on Microsoft Azure.

  • Develop and optimize end-to-end data pipelines to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting initiatives.

  • Manage and enhance cloud-based data platforms using Azure native services.

  • Implement data integration, transformation, and orchestration processes across multiple data sources.

  • Ensure data quality, security, governance, and compliance within the Azure ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Monitor platform performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and automation.

  • Contribute to architecture decisions and best practices for data engineering and cloud technologies.

  • Support DevOps processes, CI/CD implementations, and infrastructure automation.

  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the data team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer in Azure environments.

  • Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure SQL Database, and Synapse Analytics.

  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining modern cloud data platforms.

  • Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL.

  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data warehousing concepts.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies.

  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and performance optimization best practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
