Azure Cloud Engineer – Terraform
About the Role
Our client is a leading manufacturing company based in West Flanders, Belgium, investing heavily in modern cloud infrastructure and digital transformation.
We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code expertise to join the internal IT/Cloud team. You will play an important role in designing, implementing and maintaining secure, scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work in an international manufacturing environment and contribute to meaningful cloud transformation projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Build and maintain scalable, secure and highly available Azure environments.
- Automate cloud provisioning, configuration and operational processes.
- Work with Azure services including Azure Virtual Networks, Azure VMs, Storage, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor and related services.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Implement cloud security, identity and access management best practices.
- Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot infrastructure and performance issues.
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, cybersecurity and IT teams.
- Contribute to cloud architecture decisions, standards and best practices.
- Continuously improve automation, reliability, scalability and cost efficiency.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience working with cloud infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions and CI/CD practices.
- Good understanding of networking, security, identity and access management in cloud environments.
- Experience with scripting/automation using PowerShell, Bash or Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes/AKS is advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international teams.
- Fluent English communication skills are essential.
- A proactive mindset with a strong interest in automation and modern cloud technologies.
