Job description
Within a consumer credit institution belonging to a major European banking group, the Senior Security Consultant strengthens the security team. He or she ensures that security requirements are integrated early in projects and initiatives, collaborates with the various tribes to complete and review application security forms, evaluates the compliance of changes and supports the CISO in GO/NO GO decisions. In parallel, the consultant drives the evolution of the NIST framework, collects the required evidence from subject-matter experts, submits it to the Group’s central team (Benelux) and negotiates the acceptance criteria, while providing regular progress reporting and escalating blocking issues to IT management.
Requirements

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in IT production or networks (technical and/or functional role)

ISO 27001 certification (or equivalent) required

Solid understanding of NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks

Prior experience in software development and good knowledge of SDLC activities

Knowledge of network security fundamentals

Basics of IT risk assessment and management

Understanding of application architecture basics (n-tier, client-server) is a plus

Experience with security topics within projects or in a banking environment (nice to have)

Strong autonomy, personal effectiveness and ability to see the big picture

Excellent communication skills (listening, asking the right questions, explaining clearly)

Team player who readily shares information

Fluent French or Dutch + good command of English
