Job description
Context
• Opportunity in the B-IT infrastructure environment.
• Support for technical applications used for maintenance and diagnosis of different train types.
Missions
• Manage the back-end and endpoint infrastructure
◦ Evaluate the back-end and endpoint infrastructure environment to define upgrades, changes and extensions and propose improvements.
◦ Carry out feasibility studies and evaluate software and hardware solutions to meet infrastructure needs.
◦ Prepare the technical design in line with specific architecture requirements.
◦ Implement changes, upgrades and extensions to software and hardware.
◦ Provide the support and maintenance needed for the B-IT infrastructure in line with the ITIL methodology.
◦ Participate in on-call when needed to help ensure optimal availability.
• Advise stakeholders
◦ Provide technical advice and information to internal and external customers so they can assess technical possibilities and limitations based on the technology stack used by B-IT.
◦ Think critically about possible improvements in procedures and working methods within projects and within the department.
◦ Act as the point of contact from the specific area of expertise.
• Knowledge management
◦ Keep personal knowledge up to date and actively share knowledge and experience with colleagues in the technical field.
◦ Expand and keep the available documentation up to date.
Organisation & Daily Work
• Technical advisor and point of contact within the specific area of expertise.
• Shares knowledge and experience with colleagues in the technical field.
Working Conditions
• On-call when needed.
• Work on the back-end and endpoint infrastructure.
• Support for applications used for maintenance and diagnosis of train types.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience in the same function and similar environments
- Experience in big environments with at least 100,000 endpoints and more than 1,000 software packages
- Knowledge level Bachelor or equal by experience
- Managing environments for software packaging
- Ability to maintain security processes, policies and standards aligned with business objectives and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to interact with different stakeholders, including technical teams, business teams and management
- In-depth expertise in infrastructure stack covering OS, virtualisation, imaging, deployment, scripting and management toolset
- In-depth expertise in Active Directory, including domains, trees, forests, trusts, groups, users, OU's and sites
- Broad expertise in Azure, including static groups, dynamic groups and license assignment
- Broad expertise in networking, including TCP/IP, routing, VLAN, DNS and DHCP
- Broad expertise in application virtualization
- Broad expertise in scripting
- Fluency in English (C2), Dutch (C2), and French (C2)
- Certifications: MCSA, MCSE, MCSD
