Vos missions

Our client, a major public-sector IT organization, is looking for three Senior Technical Project Leaders to autonomously manage large-scale technical IT projects.

Each Project Leader will primarily support one of the following technical streams:

Legacy systems, API gateways and Java application lifecycleCybersecurity, NIS2 compliance and Google Cloud initiativesIAM, secret management, Vault and infrastructure services

The mission is full-time, based in Brussels, with a hybrid working model requiring at least two days per week onsite.

As a Senior Technical Project Leader, you will manage the complete lifecycle of complex IT infrastructure and application projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

Defining project structures, implementation scenarios, timelines, budgets and delivery approachesPreparing and maintaining detailed project plansMonitoring scope, quality, deadlines, risks, dependencies and budgetReporting project progress, issues and decisions to internal and external stakeholdersCoordinating technical teams, architects, engineers, suppliers and business stakeholdersFacilitating communication between all parties involved in the projectEstablishing priorities and ensuring operational follow-upSupporting and coaching project contributorsApplying structured project management methodologies and best practicesMaintaining project documentation through Jira and ConfluenceEnsuring alignment with ITIL, Prince2 and Agile practices

Depending on your expertise, you will manage projects related to one of the following areas:

Stream 1 – Legacy, APIs and Java

Containerization of Axway API Gateway and Adabas databasesTechnological modernization of legacy systemsApplication versioning and lifecycle management for Java environmentsSOAP and REST API environmentsDocker, Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms

Stream 2 – Cybersecurity and Google Cloud

Cybersecurity implementation projectsNIS2 and compliance-related infrastructure initiativesSecurity frameworks, gap analyses and security best practicesGoogle Cloud implementation projectsSupport to Cybersecurity, NIS2 and Cloud Program Managers

Stream 3 – IAM and Infrastructure Services

Implementation of IAM and secret management servicesDeployment of Vault solutionsInfrastructure and security service implementationCoordination of additional infrastructure projects

You have the following skills

Extensive experience managing large-scale technical IT projectsStrong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, cloud and security environmentsPrince2 expertiseAgile project management experienceITIL knowledgeAdvanced Jira and Confluence skillsStrong planning, budgeting, reporting and risk-management capabilitiesExperience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teamsExcellent stakeholder-management and negotiation skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMethodical, organized and able to manage multiple priorities

Depending on the assigned stream, relevant expertise should include several of the following:

Axway API GatewayAdabasJava, Spring Boot, Hibernate and MavenSOAP and REST APIsLegacy-system modernizationDocker, Kubernetes and OpenShiftVMware and virtualizationGoogle Cloud or other public-cloud environmentsCloud and network architectureNIS2, ISO , NIST CSF, CIS Controls or CyFunSecurity gap analyses and security best practicesIAM and secret managementVault implementationInfrastructure service managementSLA management

A university degree or equivalent experience is required.

Professional working proficiency in Dutch, French and English is required.

Previous experience within social security, healthcare, public services or another large-scale regulated environment is a strong advantage.

The CV must include a concise summary of the principles and best practices used to ensure the successful delivery of technical projects.
