(Senior) ICT Security Consultant

CONTEXT:

AETHER is a key partner for intrapreneurial projects in Belgium, and we want to reinforce our support of key actors in the infrastructure sector, who are facing interesting challenges regarding the protection of critical systems and the governance of information security.

New projects are therefore ongoing to ensure that security requirements and procedures remain clear and effective across office and industrial environments.

Hence why we are looking for a Senior ICT Security Officer to strengthen our team of Project Partners.

TASK DESCRIPTION:

As an AETHER Project Partner embedded within the project team, your objective will be to help govern and review the information security management system (ISMS) for office and industrial environments.

Key responsibilities might include:

• Collaborate across teams: Engage with ICT and business stakeholders to anticipate their needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Create clear processes: Develop security governance procedures that improve efficiency and collaboration across relevant teams.
• Analyze, document, and improve business and security requirements using industry standards (NIST, CIS, ISO27001/2, IEC62443).
• Assess existing infrastructure and business systems and gather input from application, operations, and business teams.
• Identify improvement opportunities and present practical, forward-looking solutions.

PROFILE:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in ICT security and functional analysis.
• Strong analytical skills to define problems, clarify requirements, and propose solutions.
• Solid understanding of security frameworks: NIST, CIS, ISO27001/2, and IEC62443.
• Experience as an ISO 27001 auditor is a plus.
• Familiarity with application and infrastructure architecture.
• Ability to investigate technical details to diagnose issues and assess their impact.
• Active listening, focused questioning, and the ability to explain technical concepts in user-friendly language.
• Independent and proactive, with strong teamwork skills.
• Structured and detail-oriented, balancing methodology with practical constraints.
• Adaptable to changing legal and organizational contexts.
• Fluent in spoken Dutch or French and written English.
• An entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus, including extra-professional or extra-academic activities.
