Relocation to the United States — Norfolk, Virginia. We provide the NATO-5 visa.

A multinational defence organisation is building technology advantage into a defined, managed enabler rather than an aspiration. This role produces the documents, the plan and the engagement that make it real.

What you would be doing

  • Identifying new emerging technologies and cataloguing the existing ones.
  • Producing the deliverables that develop the technology advantage enabler.
  • Analysing how it supports each named line of development.
  • Updating the vision documents so there is one shared understanding of it.
  • Preparing the first draft of the action plan.
  • Supporting the definition of initial and full operating capability.
  • Building the community of interest and the stakeholder engagement around it.
  • Reporting to the project manager and sponsor on progress against the action plan.

What you would bring

  • A bachelor degree from a recognised university in computer science, information and communication technology, engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least two years acquiring, assembling and interpreting research and technology information.
  • Knowledge of national science and technology sources.
  • Experience judging how future technology applies in a military environment.
  • The ability to work analytically on technology documentation and build practical adoption examples.
  • Comfortable with office tooling and open-source research.
  • Fluent professional English.

This is a long engagement that renews year on year, not a short project.
