Job description
The role
As IT Solution Lead, you act as the technical reference within the Geospatial Product Team. You bridge business needs and technology, ensuring the successful design, integration, maintenance and continuous improvement of both custom-built and commercial software solutions. You work closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, developers, testers, Scrum Masters, suppliers and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead and own all technical aspects of the product lifecycle

Challenge, validate and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications

Contribute to solution architecture, ensuring compliance with functional, non-functional, IT, security and technology standards

Coordinate with internal functional and technical platforms during delivery and operations

Advise on technology choices, resource needs and IT budget estimates

Lead the technical implementation and configuration of geospatial products

Lead the build, deployment and support of custom components, primarily on Microsoft .NET

Manage the integration and adaptation of off-the-shelf (OTS) solutions

Perform fit-gap analyses and contribute to technical evaluations, RFI/RFP and software selection

Support incident, problem and maintenance management, monitoring suppliers and SLA/KPI performance

Contribute to product roadmaps, supplier management, license discussions and SLA definition

Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (electricity sector experience is a plus)

Proven experience in software development, integration and/or solution management

Hands-on expertise designing, integrating and operating enterprise GIS solutions, with strong practical experience in the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem (ArcGIS Enterprise, Online, Pro, APIs/SDKs) and Safe Software FME

Vertigis Studio / Vertigis Integrator experience is a plus

Good understanding of .NET, Visual Studio and SQL Server

Proven experience in functional design and data modelling

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures

Experience with fit-gap analyses, requirements definition and software selection

Solid grasp of software architecture, security standards, compliance and ITSM processes

Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills

Proactive, autonomous, customer-focused and collaborative
Languages
Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with a strong command of English.
