It all starts with the mission: NVISO is here to protect European society from potentially devastating cyber attacks. This means we offer cyber security services to private and governmental organizations to help them better prepare for, prevent, detect and respond to cyber security incidents. All of this is built on four fundamental values that define who we are: We are Proud, We Break Barriers, We Care and No BS

Tasks

As a Senior SOC Architect, your role is to provide senior technical leadership within NVISO’s Cyber Security Engineering (CEN) Service Line, with a focus on complex Security Operations Center environments and advanced detection and response capabilities.

You act as the senior technical lead for complex customer engagements where strong architectural judgment, delivery oversight and operational credibility are required. You help customers structure, improve and evolve their SOC environment by bringing clarity across multiple workstreams, aligning technical priorities, and ensuring that strategic objectives are translated into pragmatic technical direction.

You work closely with customer leadership, project managers, architects, engineers and analysts to improve technical quality, reporting, collaboration and long-term operational effectiveness. You are able to step into difficult or politically sensitive customer contexts, understand what is blocking progress, and help create the momentum needed to move forward.

You provide technical leadership at the intersection of SOC architecture, engineering oversight and innovation. You define future-ready security operations approaches, elevate technical quality across engagements, and act as a driving force for new team capabilities, including the practical adoption of AI within SOC services.

Typical tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Acting as the senior technical lead in complex SOC environments, providing architectural direction and technical oversight across multiple parallel workstreams;
  • Advising customers on SOC architecture, operating models, detection and response capabilities, and the evolution of their security operations landscape;
  • Bringing structure and technical clarity to large or complex customer situations where multiple teams, priorities or technologies need to be aligned;
  • Translating operational pain points, business expectations and strategic ambitions into actionable technical roadmaps and improvement plans;
  • Reviewing and challenging technical approaches, designs and priorities to improve quality, scalability and long-term maintainability;
  • Supporting collaboration, reporting and delivery effectiveness across customer teams and NVISO teams involved in the same environment;
  • Contributing to solution shaping, scoping and architectural direction for strategic SOC, SIEM, detection engineering and automation initiatives;
  • Guiding teams through difficult technical decisions, trade-offs and architectural discussions in a pragmatic and customer-oriented way;
  • Providing senior support in high-impact engagements that require both technical depth and executive-level credibility;
  • Identifying capability gaps, structural blockers or recurring inefficiencies and helping define realistic ways to address them;
  • Driving new SOC developments within the team by helping shape reusable approaches, strengthening service maturity and promoting innovation, including AI-enabled use cases where they create real value;
  • Staying up to date with relevant market trends, technologies and operating approaches in SOC, SIEM, detection engineering, automation and broader security operations.
  • You are passionate about cyber security, architecture and operational improvement. You enjoy working in challenging customer environments, bringing order to complexity, and helping both customers and teams move toward better technical outcomes.

Requirements

  • You hold citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in cyber security or adjacent technology consulting;
  • At least 5 years of experience in senior consulting, technical leadership, architecture or lead roles in complex SOC or security operations environments;
  • Strong experience with SOC architecture, security operations, detection and response processes, and the practical realities of operating complex SOC environments;
