Hauptaufgaben

As a custodial worker leader, you will directly oversee the daily duties of custodial workers.
You will perform the following duties:

- Pass on to subordinates instructions received from Hotel Manager, work along with other workers and set the pace, check work in progress/upon completion and ensure all assigned tasks are accomplished in a timely manner.
- Inspect for compliance with Army Lodge standards and procedures, and/or Hotel Manager's instructions. Assure that safety, security and hotel rules are followed in all aspects of the operations.
- Pass on to subordinates information regarding procedures, policies, written instructions and other directives and demonstrate proper work methods in accordance with the Army Lodging Standards. Ensure that necessary training is provided.
- Prepare schedules for the staff and ensure that work is equally distributed.
- Work closely with the Hotel Manager to obtain needed information, report status of work and answer questions on on-going work operations.
- Ensure housekeeping equipment and supplies are maintained, cleaned and safe for use at all times. Inventory stocked items and submit supply requests to Hotel Manager for approval. Maintain and forward to Hotel Manager all daily housekeeping reports.

Qualifikationsanforderungen

PROFILE

1. EXPERIENCE

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of experience in the same or a similar line of work (such as housekeeper, cleaning aid…) as the position to be filled.
The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position, as described in the following section of this announcement.

2. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE

A certificate as "Aide-ménager.ère" from Le Forem, Actiris, … or ""Aide-ménager.ère sociale" delivered from the Promotion Sociale would qualify for the position.

Foreign education must be officially evaluated for Belgian equivalency.
