We want you to be a part of our team, from Brussels, as a .NET Developer .
WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?
- Design, develop and unit-test back-end components using ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework Core
- Implement REST and event-driven APIs and the underlying business logic
- Implement persistence layers and integrate with messaging systems
- Implement authentication and authorisation mechanisms
- Contribute source code and configuration to the customer’s CI/CD pipeline
- Participate in code reviews
- Produce and maintain API documentation
- Identify, debug and fix defects; support deployment and migration activities
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
The consultant must demonstrate experience in:
- Bachelor's degree (EQF level 6) in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of IT related experience
- Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small development teams.
- Experience working in an international/intergovernmental organisation or a central national administration.
- 4 years developing .NET back-end applications
- 8 years of experience with ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core and the .NET ecosystem
- 8 years of experience designing and implementing REST APIs and event driven integrations
- 6 years of experience with relational databases and ORM frameworks
- 5 years of experience with development and DevSecOps tooling, including version control (Git), issue tracking (e.g. Jira or equivalent), collaboration (e.g. Confluence or equivalent) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, or Bamboo, or equivalent)
- 3 years of experience as technical lead of a back-end development team, including technical design decisions, definition of coding standards and performance and security optimisation
