Senior Agentic AI Consultant – IT Governance

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Agentic AI Consultant to define and implement a new operating model integrating Agentic AI into IT project management and software delivery.

The objective is to move beyond isolated GenAI use cases and establish a structured, governed and AI-enabled delivery framework covering the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Working closely with business stakeholders, project management, enterprise architecture, development, testing, security and operations teams, you will design a target operating model aligned with the existing PRINCE2 Agile methodology.

You will translate the strategic vision into practical governance frameworks, processes, roles, controls, tooling requirements and pilot use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the target operating model for Agentic AI across IT project management and software delivery.

• Identify activities that can be delegated to AI agents versus those requiring human ownership, validation and decision-making.

• Design the governance framework covering human-in-the-loop controls, agent ownership, access rights, segregation of duties, auditability and escalation mechanisms.

• Integrate Agentic AI into PRINCE2 Agile governance, including project boards, portfolio governance, stage gates, tolerances, exception management, risk and quality management.

• Define how AI agents can support requirements engineering, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, planning, dependency management, risk identification and traceability.

• Design end-to-end AI-enabled software delivery workflows covering architecture, development, code reviews, security reviews, testing, technical documentation and release readiness.

• Define integration and traceability requirements across existing tools, particularly Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.

• Support pilot projects and Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and provide recommendations for industrialisation and scaling.

• Traceability and integration requirements for Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.

• Pilot / PoC roadmap and recommendations for further industrialisation.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Senior IT Governance & Delivery: Proven experience in IT governance, project delivery and Agile software delivery.

• PRINCE2 / PRINCE2 Agile: Strong practical knowledge of project governance, stage management, tolerances and exception handling.

• Agentic AI: Hands-on understanding of Generative AI, AI agents, agentic workflows, multi-agent orchestration and human-in-the-loop governance.

• Operating Model Design: Experience designing target operating models, governance frameworks, RACI matrices, decision-making processes and control mechanisms.

• Software Engineering & DevOps: Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, software quality, testing and release management.

• Azure DevOps: Knowledge of repositories, pipelines, test plans, APIs, architecture decision records and integration capabilities.

• ServiceNow: Understanding of ITSM workflows and integration with software delivery processes.

• AI Governance & Observability: Exposure to AI-assisted software engineering, LLM governance, agent orchestration and observability.

Soft Skills

• Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
