Job description
For one of our clients in the non-profit sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer Azure & Databricks Consultant to support a critical data platform during a period of transition.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure the continuity, stability and performance of the existing Azure data platform.

Take ownership of critical technical responsibilities within the Reporting & Analytics team.

Design, optimize and maintain scalable data solutions using Azure and Databricks.

Develop and improve cloud-based data pipelines and ETL processes.

Support knowledge transfer, onboarding activities and the transition towards a long-term support model.

Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive data-driven decision making.
Required Skills & Experience
-
Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer within Azure environments.

Strong expertise with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL.

Hands-on experience building and maintaining cloud data pipelines and modern data platforms.

Solid knowledge of Python, SQL and data modelling concepts.

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and/or ARM templates.

Good understanding of DevOps, CI/CD practices and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
-
Ability to communicate complex technical topics to business stakeholders.
-
Autonomous, proactive and service-oriented mindset.
-
Fluent English is required.
