Junior Synthesis Lab Technician

Position overview

Are you passionate about working in a laboratory environment for the synthesis of polymers and material characterization? We are looking for a strong Junior Synthesis Lab Technician to execute syntheses of sustainable waterborne polymers with thermal and/or radiation curing within development projects for our strategic research group. Responsibilities

Prepare synthesis recipes according to defined guidelines. Perform laboratory syntheses for different product types and monitor process parameters. Organize and prioritize daily laboratory work to meet deadlines. Conduct product testing and report results. Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN). Request analytical testing and follow up on results. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure timely calibration. Monitor raw material stock levels and arrange product sampling when needed. Follow laboratory quality, safety, and environmental procedures. Support scale-up activities and pilot batch follow-up. Participate in project-related internal and external meetings.

Required skills and experience

Professional bachelor’s degree in chemistry with preferred orientation in polymer science and/or industrial chemistry. Interest in working in a lab environment implying hands-on-the-job realizations and problem-solving. Creative personality with good chemical agility, structured mindset and engaged for driving results. Multi-lingual practice (NL/FR/EN) with demonstrated team spirit and excellent communication skills. Strong dedication to safety and quality standards.
