Job Summary

How can AI help our teams better understand the unique needs of a hospital and connect them with the right solutions? During this internship, you will investigate, design, build and test aproof-of-concept AI agent in Microsoft Copilot that helps connect hospital needs with Terumo's value-added services. From understanding the business need and structuring the right information to building and validating the agent, you will turn an innovative idea into a functional solution that can support sales teams in their customer conversations. Please note that this internship takes place in Leuven, Belgium, in a hybrid setup. To be eligible, you must be based in Belgium and affiliated with an educational institution for the full duration of the internship. Your educational institution must also be able to provide an internship agreement covering the entire internship period.

Job Responsibilities

Explore the key challenges, priorities and improvement needs hospitals face. Engage with internal stakeholders to understand how our teams currently uncover and assess customer needs. Map Terumo’s existing value-added services, including workflow optimization, educational programs, operational improvement programs, digital tools and 'same day discharge' solutions. Translate hospital characteristics, customer needs and available solutions into a structured decision framework. Design and build a proof-of-concept Microsoft Copilot agent, developing and refining its prompts, instructions and decision logic. Explore how the agent can complement our integrity selling approach by connecting customer needs with relevant solutions and supporting customer meeting preparation. Test the agent using realistic scenarios, gather user feedback and continuously refine the solution. Present a functional proof of concept and recommendations for potential further development and implementation.

Profile Description

We are looking for someone who: Is currently studying Marketing, Business, Innovation, Business Engineering or a related field. Has a strong interest in AI, digital solutions and innovation. Brings a customer
- and marketing-oriented mindset and enjoys understanding what customers really need. Has an analytical mindset and can turn complex information into clear structures and actionable insights. Is hands-on and enjoys experimenting, building, testing and improving. Is comfortable engaging with different stakeholders and asking the right questions. Can work independently while actively seeking input and feedback from others. Has a good command of English in a professional environment.
