We, at Leggett & Platt Incorporated, are searching for an Operations Buyer (m/f/d) within our Operations Procurementteam to help support our Automotivebusiness. That’s right Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Motors, Actuators and Massage Systems. As an Operations Buyer (m/f/d) you will have the opportunity to make a difference for the plant in Wevelgem. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by closing smart agreements with many suppliers. The team you will be working with is very diverse and continuously raises the bar.

Additionally, you’ll:

Implement regional indirect procurement contracts within the assigned plant and manage all indirect purchases not covered by regional agreements Oversee commercial activities, including negotiation and implementation, related to engineering changes impacting serial production parts after Phase 5 sign off Support Category Management in executing Commodity strategies and productivity initiatives Manage supplier performance in coordination with the Commodity Manager, focusing on quality, cost, and deliver Provide procurement input for the plant's Supplier Scorecard Serve as the plant's first escalation point for issues involving external suppliers Maintain accurate serial pricing in the plant ERP system, including initiating and monitoring price updates throughout the product lifecycle

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Successfully completed technical or business degree with a strong technical understanding or an equivalent education 1-3 years of professional experience in international procurement and technical products in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the automotive industry Customer focused mindset with strong adherence to deadlines Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure with a solution oriented, result-driven approach Basic understanding of commercial contract law and manufacturing processes as well as the ability to interpret and analyze CBDs Foundational knowledge of ISO 9001; IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 processes would be a plus Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Intelligence tools Fluency in English and Dutch; additional languages are an asset
