Your role

At HMS Networks, we empower industries to connect, communicate and innovate. Within our Industrial Data Solutions (IDS) division, we are looking for a Technical Documentation Specialist to help create outstanding customer-facing documentation and learning materials for our industrial connectivity and automation solutions.

As a Technical Documentation Specialist, you will help bridge the gap between technology and people.

You enjoy understanding how things work, testing products, exploring new features and turning technical information into content that is easy to understand and enjoyable to use.

Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Technical Services teams, you will gain hands-on experience with our industrial connectivity and automation solutions and help customers get the most out of our products through clear documentation, videos, tutorials and other learning materials.

Your responsibilities
  • Create, update and publish customer-facing documentation, including installation guides, user manuals, technical articles and onboarding content.
  • Get hands-on with our products: install, configure, test and explore new features to fully understand how they work.
  • Transform complex technical concepts into simple, practical and user-friendly content.
  • Create engaging support materials such as videos, tutorials, product walkthroughs and interactive demonstrations.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management and Technical Services teams to gather information and validate technical accuracy.
  • Take ownership of your content and continuously look for ways to improve the customer learning experience.
  • Experiment with new documentation methods, multimedia tools and AI-powered solutions to make technical information more accessible.
  • Support product launches by ensuring customers have the information they need to be successful from day one.
Your profile

You may come from a technical background in automation, engineering, electromechanics or IT and be looking for a role where you can combine technology with communication.

If you enjoy testing products, solving technical puzzles, learning new things and helping others understand complex concepts, we'd love to hear from you.

Hard skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Automation or Electromechanics.
  • We strongly encourage applications from junior candidates with initial experience in automation, connectivity systems or electromechanics, who are curious by nature and eager to understand, learn, and share their knowledge with others.
  • You enjoy understanding how technical products work and are naturally curious about technology.
  • You like testing, experimenting and learning through hands-on experience.
  • You have the ability, or the desire to learn, how to explain technical topics in a clear, simple, professional and engaging way.
  • Experience in technical writing or documentation is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools; experience with documentation platf
