Job description

We are looking for a Data Scientist / Data Analyst / BI Specialist to join a major banking environment in Brussels and contribute to data-driven decision-making across business teams.

📍 Location: Brussels
🏠 Work model: 50% on-site / 50% remote

Languages: Dutch, French and English (fluent)

🔎 Mission

  • Translate business needs into data-driven solutions, reports and dashboards

  • Collect, prepare and structure data for analysis and visualization

  • Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting solutions

  • Build clear data stories and visualizations to support business decisions

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, Data Engineers and IT teams

  • Contribute to the development and evolution of DataWarehouses, DataMarts and data assets

  • Optimize and automate reporting processes

  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security and reporting standards

  • Promote best practices and reusable data/reporting solutions

  • Contribute to Agile projects and collaborate in a dynamic, multicultural environment

  • Support and coach more junior team members when relevant

Requirements

👤 Profile

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, BI, Data Visualization or a related field

  • Previous experience in Banking or Financial Services

  • Strong experience in data analysis, preparation and visualization

  • Solid knowledge of DataWarehouses, DataMarts, data extraction and ETL processes

  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau and/or SAP Business Objects

  • Strong Excel / PowerPoint skills

  • Knowledge of SAS Enterprise Guide is a plus

  • Knowledge of Python and/or Power BI is a plus

  • Good understanding of data governance, security and data strategy

  • Experience working with business stakeholders and translating requirements into reporting solutions

  • Experience in Project Management and Agile environments

  • Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills

  • Autonomous, proactive and solution-oriented mindset

  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and collaborative environment

  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or another quantitative/analytics-related discipline
