Medior Data Engineer

Job description

We are looking for Data Engineers who can design, develop, and maintain robust data solutions, with a strong focus on:

• Designing and developing data pipelines

• Building efficient and scalable data storage structures

• Developing materialized views and analytical data solutions

• Creating data exchange endpoints and services for business and technical users

• Working with different analytical and data technologies

• Contributing to Data Governance activities, including:

  • Data Glossary

  • Data Modeling

  • Data Lineage

  • Data Quality

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a modern, Agile data environment, collaborating closely with Product Teams, Platform Teams, and other data specialists.

About the Data Organization

The Data Organization is structured around:

• Business Product Teams, supporting business initiatives and stakeholder needs

• Backbone / Platform Teams, supporting the evolution of the data platform

• Transversal Competencies Teams, supporting different technologies, expertise, and initiatives

Requirements

• Usage of SQL Server

• Implementing data pipelines using Azure services such as Azure Databricks, and to some extent Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Stream/Log Analytics, and Azure DevOps

• Implementing data pipelines or data enrichments with Python in a Databricks environment

• Open to learn and jump on new technologies (on the ones listed above, or also Redis, RabbitMQ, Neo4j, or Apache Arrow, etc.)

• Able and willing to interact with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and present reusable and integrated solutions

• Able and willing to contribute to extensive testing of the solution, as reinforcement of DevOps principles within the team

• Able and willing to contribute to the writing and structuration of documentation

• Able to challenge your interlocutors by leveraging rational thinking and a no-nonsense philosophy.
