Functional Analyst

Mission

We are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst / Scriptura (Design & Compose) System Engineer to support and enhance a critical reporting platform within an Asset Management environment.

In this hybrid role, you will act as the link between business stakeholders, vendors and IT teams while ensuring the stability, performance and continuous evolution of the Design & Compose platform.

The platform is used to generate and publish regulatory, legal and client reporting documents and plays a key role within the Asset Management reporting landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Analysis

• Gather, challenge and analyse business requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories and solution designs.
• Assess feasibility, impacts, resource requirements and implementation timelines.
• Support business stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle.

Application Ownership & Support

• Act as application owner for the Scriptura (Design & Compose) platform.
• Monitor platform stability, performance, security and operational risks.
• Troubleshoot incidents, production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions with relevant teams.

Technical & System Engineering Activities

• Manage application configurations, releases, deployments and upgrades.
• Analyse and optimise document generation workflows, publishing processes and data integrations.
• Work with XML, XSLT, SQL, REST APIs and integration technologies.
• Collaborate with vendors, infrastructure teams and development teams to ensure service continuity.

Agile Delivery

• Contribute to Agile/SAFe delivery processes.
• Support testing activities, release management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure solutions align with business, operational and security requirements.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Application Engineer, System Engineer or Technical Application Manager.
• Proven experience within the financial sector, ideally Asset Management, Banking or Insurance.
• Experience in application support, incident management and problem resolution.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders.
