We're looking for a solution architect / lead developer to design implementable solutions and lead a small engineering team from design to production. This is hands-on technical delivery, not advisory-only architecture.
What you'll do
- Own application, integration, data and security architecture.
- Translate business needs into executable backlogs and protect scope.
- Lead Agile refinement, estimates and technical risk management.
- Coach developers and review designs and code.
- Set engineering standards for testing, environments and releases.
- Maintain architecture artefacts: SAD, ADRs, diagrams and interface contracts.
What you bring
- 8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ leading technical delivery.
- Proven delivery from design to production with a team.
- Azure or equivalent public cloud experience, including hybrid setups.
- Java or Python proficiency, with ability to review the other.
- CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Git, automated testing and infrastructure-as-code literacy.
- Security by Design: identity, secrets, least privilege, encryption, data protection.
- Dutch or French (native).
- English (C1), with clear, direct communication.
Nice to have
- Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305) or equivalent practical evidence.
- Docker and AKS / Kubernetes proficiency.
- Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, OpenTofu).
- Proficiency in both Java and Python.
- Belgian regulated or public‑sector delivery experience.
