Waterleau Group, in partnership with leading financial institutions SFPIM , and Ethias , is seeking an Independent Co-Coordinator for WIFV , a €50 million investment vehicle focused on water infrastructure and mobile water solutions. This is a senior, board-facing role for an experienced professional in project finance, combining financial leadership, legal oversight, and investment governance.
Your Role
As Independent Co-Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the origination, structuring, and governance of investments , ensuring alignment with the financial partners' standards and delivering strong returns.
You will:
Lead financial structuring, modelling, and bank financing for infrastructure and rental projects
Drive investment due diligence , including legal, tax, and risk analysis
Prepare and present Investment Memos and Selection Memos to the Board
Co-manage the daily operations of WIFV alongside the Head of Business Development at Waterleau
Take a decisive role in project risk and probability assessments
Ensure a diversified, high-performing investment portfolio
Report on vehicle performance (IRR) to the Board
Your Expertise
You bring deep expertise in:
Project Finance & Modelling
Advanced financial modelling (DCF, NPV, IRR)
Structuring and negotiating bank financing
Sensitivity and risk analysis
Legal & Risk Assessment
Strong understanding of contracts (EPC, O&M, concessions)
Risk-sharing frameworks across complex infrastructure projects
Cross-border legal and contractual analysis
Investment & Governance
End-to-end due diligence and investment case development
Credit analysis and exit strategy evaluation
Experience interacting with sophisticated Boards and investors
Your Profile
Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Law (MBA or equivalent is a plus)
10–15+ years of experience in project finance, infrastructure investing, or investment banking
Professional proficiency in English, Dutch and French is required
