Senior SAP ABAP Developer
Role Overview
The position focuses on the development, maintenance and enhancement of ABAP applications within SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA environments. The role combines traditional ABAP development with modern SAP technologies, including RAP, CDS and ABAP Cloud , with a strong focus on SAP FI/CO.
Key Responsibilities
Development, maintenance and enhancement of ABAP applications in SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA.
Development using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) .
Integration and development using SAP Core Data Services (CDS) and the SAP Virtual Data Model.
Development and support of solutions related to SAP FI/CO .
Application of secure coding principles in ABAP.
Use of ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) for code quality and compliance.
Working according to Agile development methodologies .
Implementation of the ABAP Cloud Development Model and SAP extensibility concepts.
Collaboration with functional and technical stakeholders on SAP development activities.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in ABAP development .
Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP FI/CO .
Demonstrable experience with SAP R/3 .
Minimum 6 months of demonstrable experience with RAP within the last 2 years .
Minimum 6 months of demonstrable experience with SAP CDS / Core Data Services within the last 2 years .
Strong experience in ABAP-based application development.
Dutch at CEFR C2 level or native-level proficiency.
Additional Experience
Experience with SAP CRM , preferably around 3 years.
Experience with SAP SD , preferably around 1 year.
Experience with ABAP Web Dynpro .
Experience with secure coding in ABAP .
Experience with Agile development methodologies .
Experience with the ABAP Cloud Development Model and extensibility tiers , including at least one relevant assignment or project.
Working Model
Full-time
Hybrid working model, with remote work depending on team arrangements.
Occasional on-site presence may be required, including at other company locations depending on project activities.
Start date: 26 November 2026
Initial duration: 12 months, with potential for extension.
